Vocational Services

Often, the single most important factor in overcoming disabilities or economic disadvantages is a secure job with opportunities for advancement. Fulfilling employment not only leads to economic self-sufficiency, it can also result in improved mental and physical health. Each year, VSP serves more than 300 residents of Greater Baltimore, resulting in successful employment and contribution to the local economy. Our caring, skilled professionals provide a continuum of services—all of which are tailored to the needs of our clients.

Our services include:

Referral Process

An individual interested in one or more of our vocational services needs to be referred from a funding source such as the Maryland State Department of Education/Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), the Veterans Administration Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment unit, an injured worker’s vocational case manager, a One Stop Career Center or a Baltimore City Youth Opportunity center.

Please contact Mira Appleby, VSP’s Program Development Manager at 443-955-7526 or mappleby@lifebridgehealth.org, for information regarding our referral process.

Once a referral form is completed and forwarded to VSP with relevant background information, an appointment is scheduled for a one-on-one, comprehensive intake with each referred customer, to explain VSP services, ensure eligibility and determine the most appropriate program match.
