Feeding the soul is vitally important at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital.
Jewish worship services are held every Saturday for Sabbath and on holidays. Our rabbi also conducts Jewish religious and educational programs throughout the week. In addition, he is available for counseling.
Levindale recently renovated our on-site synagogue. It is now larger, and a second entrance has been added.
The stage at the front of the sanctuary was removed, which makes the entire sanctuary even more wheelchair accessible. Seats are also now at the front of the synagogue for the rabbi and other speakers.
Levindale is located within the eruv and makes every effort to accommodate observant Jewish residents, patients and their families. In addition to serving only glatt kosher food, Levindale has bibles, prayer books and electric Shabbat candles available. A Shabbat entrance goes direction into our lobby.
Clergy from all religions and faiths are also welcomed to visit and counsel residents and patients at Levindale. Christian worship services are held on Sundays and holidays. Bible study classes are also taught once a week, and there is a post-inspirational service on Mondays.
